Navigators and Old Neighborhood Foods announce “Knot-Hole Crew Kids Club”

The North Shore Navigators and Old Neighborhood Foods are pleased to introduce the 2008 Old Neighborhood Foods “Knot-Hole Crew Kids Club” at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA. The Baseball partnership brings together two popular pastimes in Lynn; Baseball and Business.

The North Shore Navigators are the new Collegiate League Wood Bat Baseball Team playing in their first season at Fraser Field this coming summer. Old Neighborhood Foods is a Lynn-based 3d generation Family business and purveyor of Fine Sausages and Meat provisions to Supermarkets nationwide.

In announcing Old Neighborhood’s participation with the Knot-Hole Crew, Old Neighborhood Foods Pres, Mr. Thomas Demakes, a Lynn native said: “Our family is proud of our Heritage here, and this will provide Lynn with some enjoyable summer nights of Baseball.”

Navigators Pres. Phil Rosenfield unveiled the Old Neighborhood Section of the 1st Base Fraser Field grandstand where Lynn kids will be eligible for free admittance. “We are very pleased and proud to partner with such a fine tradition as Old Neighborhood Foods and to be able to offer this to the community thanks to their support today. Baseball is really about Family and having fun out at the Ballpark.”

Supervised Children’s groups from all over Lynn will be welcomed into the Navigators games from many organizations in the City such as the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club, & Girls Inc ti name a few.

Civic organizations and groups seeking to become members of the Old Neighborhood “Knot-Hole Crew Club” can simply copy the “Knot Hole Crew” form from the Navigators website at www.nsnavs.com and mail it in to the Navigators at PO Box 8120, Lynn, MA 01904. Or you can simply come by the Navigators offices at Fraser Field in the Grob Field House at 365 Western Ave. in Lynn, which is open on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The North Shore Navigators are an elite Premier Wood Bat summer Baseball team playing in the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League. Players are NCAA Collegiate Baseball players who come to Lynn from all over the country to gain the experience, contacts and confidence they need to further their Baseball careers. Former NECBL players now in Major League Baseball include Joe Nathan, Andy Sonnenstine and Andre Ethier.

The Navigators provide safe, convenient & affordable Family fun entertainment. The 2008 Navigators play at Lynn’s Fraser Field. Their season begins June 7 and goes until August 10.
