speakers are Rico Brogna, Watertown native, 9 year Major League
veteran, primarily with the Mets and Phillies and Sean Fesh,
Bethel native, 17 years professional pitching experience, most
recently with Bridgeport Bluefish. Brogna will address hitting,
while former Westerners coach Doug Goodrich and Fesh will
discuss fielding and pitching, respectively.
Ms. Lindsay Peirson, Manhattan College’s NCAA compliance
officer, will lead a panel comprised of Danbury High School
baseball coach, Shaun Ratchford, and local professional players,
Mike Tarsi (DHS - 2004), Minnesota Twins organization and Greg
Palanzo (DHS – 1998) Italian Professional Baseball League in
discussing “Baseball - How to get to the next Level”
Baseball lecturer and writer Ron Mentus will discuss winning,
sportsmanship and character
Additionally, a video highlight of baseball documentary “Eye on
the Dream”, shown on Fox Cable and NY Sports, will be introduced
by New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) commissioner,
Mario Tiani.
